Hamad International Airport (HIA), operated by
MATAR, the Qatar Company for Airports Management and Operation, has gained
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, following a great assessment of the Airport’s
Information Security Management System by Bureau Veritas in October 2020.
Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Both are
managing international organizations that improve global standards.
ISO 27001 was developed to improve companies,
of every size or any business, preserving their information in a well-organized
and cost-effective system, through the selection of an Information Security
Management System (ISMS).
While trying to provide a seamless and
protected experience for HIA’s consumers; the airport has improved and
performed an effective Information Security Management System that complies
with one of the most rigorous global standards and allows more resilience
against cyber hazards.
The ISO 27001:2013 contains all guidelines
about the security of the information by implementing it into the company that will
help you to improve your management system of the technical team that handles
all technical works like the client's data. It is a very beneficial
certification for every organization, every organization should have this
certification.

that helps to improve the information security in your organization that is

HIA has been rated the “Third Best Airport in
the World” by the SKYTRAX World Airport Awards 2020. HIA is also the first
airport in the Middle East and Asia to be awarded 5-Star Covid-19 Airport
protection and safety ratings by Skytrax.
